The DEN PLIRONO movement in Greece was born out of current social needs and constitutes a political movement of civil disobedience and resistance.
It is flesh from the flesh of all the exploited social layers and fights for three years now, vindicating the social character and value of public goods.
DEN PLIRONO’s fundamental political place and axis of action focuses on giving all people access to all social goods and services that are essential for a decent existence, free of charge, because it is the People who have paid for these resources.
The People in our movement believe in and fight for free education, healthcare, streets, public spaces, public transportation, clean water, electricity, all natural goods (eg beaches, forests, air), and for the general well-being of all People, Greeks and immigrants alike... The unprecedented crisis of the last years has radically discredited the capitalistic system. In their effort to fortify their political, economical and ideological regime and to subjugate people, the ruling class has formed new, disguised juntas. The economic fortification of the global and national financial system requires direct transfer of wealth from the households to the banks. Such a ‘grab’ is attempted by slashing wages and pensions, dissolving public health and education, selling off public property and by means of continuous anti-social taxes.
The question is: How long will we bend our heads and obey a mob of bullies and exploiters who want to steal our lives? When will we rise up and take back our lives? The first signs of collective workers’ class struggle have already appeared! Here are some of the luminous examples of disobedience and resistance in Greece: - the DEN PLIRONO movement committees - the neighborhood assemblies - the strikes in the factories (e.g. steelworks) - mass-media strikes (ERT, ALTER, etc.) - the Keratea Resistance - the Ierissos anti-gold movement DEN PLIRONO is a movement that transforms revolutionary theory into everyday actions of resistance and solidarity. Our actions have inspired the creation of corresponding movements in Spain (“Yo no Pago”) and in Sweden (“Planka.nu”). The People United Will Never Be Defeated!
Taking all this into account, the DEN PLIRONO movement will take part in the upcoming elections because we reject the political puppets of the system, who have abdicated their responsibilities to represent and protect the needs of the Greek People in favor of personal gain. The DEN PLIRONO movement’s goals are to propagate ideas, ideals and ways of action throughout the Greek territory. We call out to all exploited individuals, to choose the way of collective struggle. We invite you all to join us, so that we may unite our voices and our fists in order to take back our stolen lives. Spread our ideas and support our struggle! Please donate whatever amount of money you can. The People are our only sponsor. Donations will be used to print our ballots for the elections and to print brochures and posters.
WE WILL NOT PAY FOR THEIR MANUFACTURED CRISIS.
COLLECTIVELY WE ORGANISE AND REFUSE TO PAY ANTI-SOCIAL TAXES IMPOSED ON ALL NEIGHBORHOODS.
99% VS 1%
WE WILL FIGHT AGAINST ALL THOSE WHO STEAL OUR LIVES UNTIL THE FINAL VICTORY!
