We demand that Fur Farming in Greece is banned
In
recent years in Greece, there is an increase in fur farms in the region
of West Macedonia.West Macedonia is divided into the regional units of Florina, Grevena, Kastoria, and Kozani.
In 2011 there were 43 fur farms in Greece.
According to the figures
from the Ministry of Rural Development and Food (March 2014), fur farms
have increased to 105!
Kastoria – 45 fur farms
Kozani – 50 fur farms
Grevena – 8 fur farms
Florina – 2 fur farms
New fur farms are under construction .....

FREE ACCESS TO SOCIAL GOODS FOR ALL PEOPLE We demand that all citizents have access to all social public goods
(i.e. education, transport, health, beaches, jobs, shelter, cultrural activities, energy, water, etc) and at a qualitative level.
These are all paid directly or indirectly through the taxation, and are supposingly intended for these social purposes. We fight every day through solidarity actions, with the final cause that all people around the world may access qualitative social goods.
We are aiming at the society that everyone expresses themeselves freely and may access all that they need, all they can dream of, within the context of justice and the prerequisite that no man will take advantage of another one, or nature. We call everyone to contribute to the change of these self-explanatory rights and logic.

We have had demonstrations numbering up to 200 locations around the world: Held on the Friday that is the beginning of the big holiday sales.
Demonstrations (against businesses and shops that sell fur) are held globally, in one united voice, to save the voiceless victims of the cruel fur trade.
This year, to take place on November 28th."
Greece will follow with a demonstration on November the 29th, with a Fur Free Saturday (details will soon be announced).

Η Fur Free Friday είναι μία από τις μεγαλύτερες παγκόσμιες ημέρες δράσης στην ιστορία των οργανώσεων για τα δικαιώματα των ζώων.
Έχουν διαδηλώσει μέχρι και 200 διαφορετικά μέρη σε όλο τον κόσμο: Πραγματοποιείται την Παρασκευή που ξεκινούν οι μεγάλες εορταστικές εκπτώσεις των καταστημάτων.
Οι διαμαρτυρίες (κατά των επιχειρήσεων και των καταστημάτων που πωλούν γούνα) γίνονται σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, με μια ενωμένη φωνή, σε μια προσπάθεια να σώσουν τα θύματα του αποτρόπαιου εμπορίου γούνας, μιας και οι δικές τους κραυγές δεν ακόγουνται.

Reconnecting electicity power in family of 10 people (VIDEO)
The family is trying to cope to everyday's needs, as the National Electricity provider (ΔΕΗ) stopped the provision of electricity power.
I Don't Pay Movement reacted to the family's urgency by reconnecting the power back on, as a solidarity action to the family.

A tribute to Loukanikos, the legendary Greek riot dog
The
legendary Loukanikos, known for his fearless interventions during
clashes with riot police in Athens between 2010-’12, has died at the age
of 10.
Louki
had retired from rioting in 2012 following a spell of ill-health.
He
was taken in by a loving family in whose presence he passed away a few days ago.
Rest in peace, canine comrade!

Florida Makes Off-Grid Living Illegal – Mandates All Homes Must Be Connected To An Electricity Grid
It’s no secret that an
opposition to sustainable living exists. Earlier this year, Texas state
brought several SWAT teams to a sustainable community and threatened to
shut it down. Each one of the community members were initially
handcuffed at gunpoint. It was called “The Garden of Eden Community,”
and was totally self sustainable.
This time, it’s Robin Speronis that’s
come under fire. She lives off the grid in Florida, completely
independent of the city’s water and electric system. A few weeks ago,
officials ruled her off-grid home illegal. Officials cited the International Property Maintenance Code,
which mandates that homes be connected to an electricity grid and a
running water source. That’s just like saying our dependency on
corporations isn’t even a choice. The battle to live without most
utilities has been ongoing for Robin, the self-sufficient woman has
lived for more than a year and a half using solar energy, a propane
camping stove and rain water.

St. Paul police violently arrest a black man for sitting on bench, waiting for his children (VIDEO)
The video, shot by the man’s cellphone, shows his interaction with officers as he attempts to pick up his children from New Horizon Academy in downtown St. Paul. As the officers force the man to put his hands behind his back, he drops his phone and the video goes black, but the audio continues and we hear the man crying for help and proclaiming that his kids are watching.
Both officers in the video are white. “Why do I have to let you know who I am?” the man tells the first female officer at the beginning of the video. “I don’t have to let you know who I am if I haven’t broken any laws.”...
